The Twin lakes of Balinsasayao are natural lakes found in mountainous areas west of Sibulan,Negros Oriental en route to north of Dumaguete. This is one of the major natural tourist attraction in the province. This natural park is an adjoining lakes of Balinsasayao and lake Danao, thus now designated as Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park including Lake Kabalin-an.
The sorrounding areas of this park is a protected area and a home of vast living organisms and biodiversity with rich fish fauna including number of species, of forest and bird life. The area covers 8,016 hectares(19,810 acres).
Lake Danao is the smaller of two lakes located southeast of Balinsasayao. The lake has about 28 hectares(69 acres) surface area.
Getting there:
Drive your way north of Dumaguete passing Sibulan town proper until you reach the signage at the leftside directing to twin lakes. Distance from the highway is around 13.5 kms away. If your commuting, habal-habal drivers are waiting near the signage.

Follow the well paved road west to scenic overview of Tanon Strait and nearby Cebu island.
Before reaching to twin lakes, visitors need to register and pay the entrance fee.Kabalin-an lake on the other hand is a small lake nearby the entry point. This is another spectacular sight to behold. The undisturbed and calm surface of lake Kabalin-an provides a “mirror image” and a reflection of few sprouting trees of the water.
Proceed your way up in less than ten minutes and there Lake Balinsasayao awaits.
